CAMPERS HAVE BEEN ASKED TO SUPPLY:

  • Markers or colored pencils for coloring

  • Sharpies

  • Fabric Markers (optional)

PROJECTS INCLUDE:

  • Mini Beach Bunting

  • Wave Keychain

  • Surfboard Necklace

  • Shell Tie-dye

  • Popsicle Watercolor

  • Friendship Bracelets

Schedule

9.45am BE READY

​

  • Be ready for start of camp

  • Enter Zoom meeting

  • Be wearing your headset and test the microphone

  • Have participants/campers on mute

  • Have samples ready

  • Have materials ready for demonstration

  • Have water close by

  • Have camper info in case you need to contact a parent by phone

10am MEET 'n' GREET

​

  1. Greet campers whilst waiting for everyone to join.

  2. Have campers work on a coloring sheet

  3. If you can encourage interaction here between students please do. Ask campers a fun fact about themselves or ask one camper to ask another camper a fun fact about themselves.

10.30am SEWING ACTIVITY

​

  • Supplies needed: bunting triangles, made-by label, twill tape, safety pin

 

  • Review needle threading, knot and lock stitch

​

  • VIDEO "Stitch channel on triangles"

​​

  • Campers: Straight stitch along stitch lines on triangles

​​​

​

​

​11am 15 MINUTE BREAK (Use this time to help anyone catch up)

​

11.15am SEWING ACTIVITY

​

​

  • VIDEO "Construct Bunting"

 

  • Campers thread triangles on to twill tape (even if all triangles are not completed as they can add them later after camp is over if necessary)

  • Tie knots in both ends of twill tape (or leave one un-knotted if triangles are incomplete)

​

  • Campers finished early: insert "made-by" label

​

​

12PM LUNCH BREAK

​

1pm WAVE KEYCHAIN

​

  • Campers need to open bag labelled "Wave Keychain"

 

  • VIDEO "Cutting Keychain"

  • Campers: Cut keychain and add key ring

​

  • Campers: Stitch around keychain

​​

  • Campers who finish early can color on coloring sheet

​
