FASHION
DESIGN
CAMPS
Campers ages 8 - 14 learn the basics of fashion design including fashion drawing and sketching, mood board design, logo design, daily fashion challenges and a virtual fashion show. Hand sewing is taught so that campers may complete their creations and continue designing long after camp is over. A mannequin* is required at these camps so that campers can participate in daily fashion challenges. Adult supervision is not generally needed unless a child needs help with tasks like threading a needle, etc. Beginners and experienced sewers are welcome.
"Denim-tastic!"
Campers re-purpose a pair of jeans and make jeans shorts, a phone case, a fashion mask and fun accessories. Other activities include designing a t-shirt, creating a brand, outfit design, daily fashion challenges and virtual fashion show. Campers need to supply a pair of light colored jeans that fit and can be cut.
"Flirty Shirty"
Campers re-purpose t-shirts to make a skirt, top, fringed bag, fashion mask and accessories. Other activities include brand design, fashion design, daily fashion challenges and virtual fashion show. Campers need to provide 2 new or used t-shirts that fit can can be cut.

SUMMER
SEWING
CAMPS
Campers ages 7 - 13 learn the wonderful LIFE SKILL of hand sewing whilst having fun making adorable projects to treasure forever. We are proud to say that our kid approved and one-of-a-kind projects are specially designed at Sew Happy and are made in the USA using recycled water bottles. We have 3 different themes so that campers can attend multiple camps.
In addition to sewing we have a daily arts and crafts activity as well as show 'n' tell and virtual games. We encourage beginners and campers with experience too.
Our experienced and passionate instructors will patiently teach campers the skills of sewing including threading a needle, tying a knot, stitching, sewing on a button etc. through easy-to-follow short and clear videos shared on the child's screen. We structure the day so that each segment is short and we switch from sewing to arts and crafts or games and activities to keep campers engaged. We do recommend the presence of an adult for younger campers or those who may find sewing tricky to start off with. As a camper becomes comfortable threading a needle, tying a knot etc the adult will be needed less but someone should be close by to help if necessary.
"Selfie Time"
Projects include a tote bag, keychain, bookmark, selfie friendship bracelets, arts and crafts activities.
"Surf's Up"
Projects include an "Aloha" carrying pillow with choice of pocket design, mini beach bunting, bookmark, keychain, friendship bracelets, painted shells, surf board necklace and popsicle watercolors.
"Chill Out"
Projects include a retro music pillow with choice of pocket design and carrying strap, travel X's and O's game, bookmark, keychain, friendship bracelets, arts and crafts activities.

MY DOLL & ME CAMPS
Campers ages 6 - 10 learn how to sew whilst making an adorable outfit for their favorite doll. Our experienced and passionate instructors will patiently teach younger campers the skills of sewing including threading a needle, tying a knot, stitching, sewing on a button etc. through easy-to-follow short and clear videos shared on the child's screen. This is a half day camp and each segment is short, we switch from sewing to arts and crafts or games and activities to keep campers engaged. The sewing is very simple and campers will be delighted to see what they can do with their hands!

"Spa Day Adventure"
Projects include a spa wrap, eye mask, slippers, towel and cucumber eye pads for an 18" doll. Each day starts with an art welcome activity and we alternate sewing segments with coloring and games like "would you rather" and bingo.
"Sleepover Adventure"
Projects include a "bunny" romper with pompom tail, pillow, sleeping bag and baby bunny for an 18" doll. Each day starts with an art welcome activity and we alternate sewing segments with coloring and games like "would you rather" and bingo.

Full day camps are 10am - 3pm with a 15 minute break in the morning and afternoon and a 1 hour lunch break from 12pm - 1pm. Price includes shipping of supplies. Sibling discount of 20% will be applied at registration.
