Birthday Parties at the Sew Happy Studio
Looking for a memorable way to celebrate your child's birthday? You can book a 2 hour sewing or fashion design birthday party in our studio for kids turning 6-12.
The time slots are two hours long, including 30 minutes for your cake and snacks for up to 15 children on Saturdays 3pm - 5pm or Sundays 10am - 12pm.

Ready to sew on a real sewing machine? This fun, hands-on party gives guests an exciting introduction to machine sewing while they create a project they’ll be proud to take home. The party begins with a safety briefing and an introduction to the sewing machine. Our machines have adjustable speed controls and are set to a slow speed for beginners. With plenty of instructor support, guests learn how to guide their fabric and follow the stitch lines on one of our specially designed projects. The birthday child chooses one project for the party: A tote bag featuring one of our hand-painted designs, with a matching keychain A cozy pocket pillow with 8 fun designs No previous sewing experience is needed. It’s an exciting, confidence-building celebration and a wonderful way for children to experience the fun of sewing for the first time.
Bring your favorite 18-inch doll for a wonderfully creative sewing celebration! Each guest learns basic hand-sewing skills while making a little crossbody bag especially for their doll. Guests can choose from a selection of colors to personalize their project, and our friendly instructors guide them through every step. No previous sewing experience is needed. At the end of the party, every guest takes home a handmade accessory for their doll and a lovely new sewing achievement to celebrate.
Learn to sew it, make it and love it! This colorful hand-sewing party is a wonderful introduction to sewing for younger makers. With step-by-step guidance from our Sew Happy instructors, each guest learns basic hand-sewing skills while creating a crossbody pouch to take home. The birthday child chooses either a unicorn or cupcake design for the party, and each pouch is finished with a bright ribbon strap. No sewing experience is needed. Every guest leaves with a fun, useful handmade accessory—and the pride of being able to say, “I made it myself!”
Perfect for young fashion lovers, this imaginative party is all about experimenting with fabric, color and design—no sewing experience required! Guests begin with a fashion challenge using 18-inch doll mannequins. They then move on to our Mystery Bag Draping Challenge, where each guest receives a surprise assortment of fun fabrics and trims. Using the materials in their bag, they decide what to combine and how to drape, layer and style their own creative look on a mannequin. This is an interactive fashion-design experience rather than a make-and-take sewing party. Guests have fun experimenting and creating with our mannequins during the celebration, but the designs and materials remain at the studio at the end of the party. If having a project to take home is important to your child, one of our three sewing-party options may be a better choice.
My daughter and her friends had the BEST time at Sew Happy! She celebrated her 8th birthday with a sewing machine party in which everyone made a pillow. Everything went so smoothly and each girl went home with a really cool project! The Sew Happy staff made the whole experience so enjoyable and easy. I definitely recommend it!

I wanted to thank you so much for such a wonderful birthday party experience for my daughter on Sunday. I have hosted many birthday parties for my 3 girls over the years and I have to say this might have been my favorite ever. It was such a well-run, smooth and enjoyable experience for all of the girls and they were thrilled to be able to use the sewing machines. Your staff was wonderful and took care of everything.
