FEBRUARY 2026

Samina
Samina is 10 years old and attends Quaker Ridge School. She has been sewing at Sew Happy since 2023 and has attended many sewing classes, camps and workshops. Samina’s favorite color is blue and her favorite sewing project so far is the Tote Bag with patchwork. She said she likes sewing because it makes her feel calm and she hopes to make a pair of pajama pants at some point in the future! We love to see Samina progress through SEW many fabulous projects and we think she has a lovely smile that reflects her happy personality!
JANUARY 2026

Lily
Lily is 9 years old and loves sewing. She has already learnt to do material draping, embroidery, and sewing. She recently made the personality pillow and is looking forward to making the Lulu Llama and PJ Pants as her next projects- I wonder if she'll make them in her favorite colors of bright pink and gold?
DECEMBER 2025

Ariana
Ariana is 9 years old and attends the Leffell School. Her favorite colors are aqua blue and bubblegum pink - we love color too Ariana! So far her favorite project has been the personality pillow but now that she has learnt how to use the sewing machins she cant wait to make the Lulu Llama and some PJ pants.
NOVEMBER 2025

Lizzie
Lizzie is 10 years old at attends the Leffell School. She loves the color of light pink and so far her favorite project has been the charm square apron. She has learnt to hand sew and use the sewing machine and is looking forward to trying our reindeer ornament project.
OCTOBER 2025

Liya
Liya is a 10 year old student at Milton Elementary School. Her favorite color is purple. Her latest project is a fabulous tie-dye beach bag made out of towels.
Liya loves sewing because she can express how she feels through what she is making.
We love Liya because she is patient, kind, creative, and a pleasure to have in class.
Liya is looking forward to taking the Taylor Swift themed fashion design class next!
JULY 2025

Lia
Lia is 12 years old and attends Padeia 15 School in Yonkers. Lia’s favorite color is teal, her favorite sewing project at Sew Happy is embroidery and she would like to learn how to crochet and make a cat plushie! Keep sewing and crafting Lia!
JUNE 2025

Addy
Addy is 10 years old and attends Purchase Elementary School. She has been attending sewing classes for 18 months and has made a whole bunch of projects from bags, aprons to cushions and more. We love her great smile at the Studio.
MAY 2025

Vivian
Vivian is 8 years old and attends Milton School in Rye. Her favorite color is blue and her favorite project so far at Sew Happy is the Bunny Squishie with a Pompom Tail. She loves sewing because it’s peaceful and entertaining and it makes her feel calm and happy. We love having Vivian at the studio because she is so creative, she always listens and loves to learn new skills and she’s kind to her classmates.
APRIL 2025

Quinn
Quinn is 9 years old and attends the MAS (Mamaroneck Avenue School). Her favorite color is Red. She loves both sewing and acting. Her favorite sewing project so far has been the Personality Pillow. What does she loves about sewing? The experience and vibe! Her younger sister Ella also likes to sew at Sew Happy.
MARCH 2025

Naomi
Naomi is 8 years old and attends Murray Avenue School in Larchmont. She started her sewing journey at Sew Happy hand sewing classes, she progressed through Pre-Beginner and Beginner and is now in the Intermediate class. Naomi’s favorite project is a Squishy Love Rabbit, her favorite color is purple and she loves making something new at every session. Sew Happy Instructors love to work with Naomi because she is focused, pleasant, patient and kind
FEBRUARY 2025

Caitlin
Caitlin is 10 years old and attends William B. Ward Elementary School in New Rochelle. Her favorite colour is lavender, and she loves sewing because it lets her show her creativity. Caitlin enjoys embroidery, using the sewing machine, cutting patterns & measuring.
Caitlin is currently working on her Charm Square Apron, and it looks great!
JANUARY 2025

Aaron
Aaron is 10 years old and attends the Leffell School. He has been sewing at Sew Happy for 18 months and has learned both hand & machine sewing. He has made a Personality Pillow & Charm Square Apron.He has been to fashion camps is now making pajama pants at the Fashion & Fab Lab.
Aaron is creative, good natured, enthusiastic, kind and fun to have in the studio. It's easy to see why he's made *sew* many new friends at Sew Happy!
DECEMBER 2024

Adeline
We're thrilled to anounce December's Student of the Month! Adeline is a cheerful, creative and fun-loving "Sew Happy" Student! She makes new friends in every class she attends and is always willing to lend a helping hand!
Adeline has completed many projects over the course of her "Sew Happy" years including a Personality Pillow, Charm Square Apron, Wrap Skirt, Fleece PJ Bottoms and a Squishy Stuffie.
Adeline's favorite animal is the Red Panda! And she always has a soft spot for Stuffies that need a bit of love and mending with her careful hand-stitching.
NOVEMBER 2024

Chloe
Chloe is a 3rd grader at Quaker Ridge Elementary School. Her favorite color is purple. She has completed two beginner classes and private lessons at Sew Happy where she has mastered many foundational sewing skills. Chloe is currently in the intermediate "Fashion & Fab Lab" class and is learning how to use a commercial pattern to make a wrap skirt!

She talks about becoming a fashion designer and opening a store with Kim, who is talented, creative, patient and kind. Chloe lights up when she talks about sewing, and that fire has been ignited by Sew Happy and the studio’s talented team.”

DreDre
Dre Dre (Audrey Schwartz) had such a fabulous experience last year at Sew Happy. At the beginning of the summer, she decided she wanted to use the skills she learned and sew a dress for the first day of middle school. She picked out fabric and a pattern. With some help and oversight from her grandmother, she completed it and wore it on her first day. Thank you so much for teaching and inspiring her!"
