PRIVATE LESSONS

We use different projects to teach the basics of sewing and then build upon those sessions to increase your knowledge and confidence. We begin with a felt pouch, personality pillow, charm square apron, or a tote bag.

Since we schedule a teacher one to one with our students, there is a 72 hour cancelation policy. You can reschedule your lesson up to 72 hours in advance if you find you have a conflict in your schedule. If you buy a 6 pack of lessons they are valid for a year from the time they are purchased.

All guests who participate in our classes, camps/workshops, scouts, private lessons or birthday parties must complete an online waiver form for liability and media usage. If you have booked a class for your scout troop, you will receive an email with a link to the liability/waiver form and you must distribute this to your scouts ahead of the class. If we do not have a waiver on file, then we cannot let the child participate, so please make sure that every child's parent has received it so there is no disappointment.

We offer structured Machine Sewing classes on a private basis to adults. These classes are project based to master sewing skills and are pre-planned by us.

1. This is a 90 minute lesson and we teach you:

• Sewing Machine anatomy and safety

• How to thread the machine

• How to wind a bobbin

• How to straight stitch, back stitch and zigzag

The project you make at this lesson is a felt pouch. 2. Sewing Machine Introductory 6-Pack ($850) Includes 6 x 90 minute classes includes:

• Sewing Machine 101

• Sew Happy Signature Denim Tote Bag, covering:

  • Pockets

  • Lining

  • Box Bottom

  • Applique

Please note - you will not be able to work on personal projects but you will acquire the basic skills required to work on your own projects at home. If you would like to bring your own machine please talk to us before the lesson so we can make sure it's a machine we can work with.

We also offer a semi-private lesson for two friends. Both adults should be at a similar sewing level, so that you can both finish the designated project. The cost for a semi-private lesson is $225 for 90 minutes. We also offer a 6 pack of semi-private lessons for $1300.

When you come for your lesson we can assess your knowledge and get you up to speed quickly and decide on what to work on at your lessons so that you get the most out of your class.
