1. Office Manager - Sew Happy

Looking for an experienced, well-rounded, self-motivated manager with exceptional customer service skills to support the leadership, instructors, students, and parents at Sew Happy’s Mamaroneck studio.  The candidate must be organized, creative, and excited to help take Sew Happy’s business to the next level.

 

The following duties are expected:

  • Be a face and voice of Sew Happy – connecting with parents and students on the phone and in-person to answer questions, support registrations, etc.

  • Create and maintain a studio experience that is on-brand — clean, bright, welcoming & Sew Happy!  This includes keeping the studio tidy, refreshing photos, marketing materials, and decorations.

  • Inventory & storage - track, order, and organize materials as needed.

  • Lead the coordination of studio classes

    • Support marketing and outreach work to make sure all seats are filled

    • Schedule studio classes on Sawyer software (no previous experience required)

    • Follow up with special needs/allergy students to make sure needs are met.

    • Make sure studio classes get up & running smoothly.  

    • Liaise with parents throughout the class.  

  • Support leadership on special projects.  Support staff, and instructors as needed.

  • Outstanding customer service & communication skills required.  Familiarity with spreadsheets, scheduling software, and social media is a plus.  

 

Job Type: Part-Time 

Pay: $30 - $40 per hour commensurate with experience

Hours 18-20 hours per week - likely 2:00pm - 7:30pm three days per week + meetings.

The following duties are expected:

  • Be a face and voice of Sew Happy – connecting with parents and students on the phone and in-person to answer questions, support registrations, etc.

  • Lead the coordination of Sew Happy’s After School Programs & Partnerships

    • Support marketing and outreach work set up and confirm programs.

    • Communicate regularly with school contacts

    • Schedule instructors — assist with background checks and on-boarding

    • Liase with instructors before & during session

    • Make sure classes get up & running smoothly.   

    • Get feedback and develop regular reports on school programs.

  • Support leadership on special projects.  Support staff, and instructors as needed.

 

Skills Needed: Excellent communication & organization skills, Experience with Quickbooks and Google sheets required.  Experience sewing and/or knitting a plus.
