Tips & Feedback For Sewers

Feedback From Dr. Nick Manice, New York Presbyterian Hospital

There are many different versions of N95 masks and Dr. M demonstrates them

1. Thick elastic is very uncomfortable and can create sores behind the ears. Thin elastic (1/8" and thinner is better)

2. Dr. M. suggests ribbons or ties so the mask can be fastened at the back of the head

wider tucks/pleats are better

Suggestion - leave 1” AT TOP & BOTTOM, then 1/2” pleats/TUCKS

Stick with the 8" x 11" FABRIC size
