Check in with Sew Happy Supervisor
Be wearing your headset (if using)
Test the microphone
Have students on mute
Have chat set so that students can only chat to Sew Happy host and not other students
Have Sew Happy virtual background on

Have samples ready to show
Have materials ready for demonstration
Have water close by
Have student info in case you need to contact a parent by phone

Greet students whilst waiting for everyone to join
Students should be MUTED

With students MUTED:

Introduce projects and show samples of each item (either actual or photos)

To make a hedgehog house "basket", with accessories including a mini hedgehog stuffie and keychain

Tying a knot
Straight stitch

With students MUTED go through "Class Rules & Guidelines"

Ensure that a parent/adult is within hearing distance in case you need some hands-on help.

If you need help ask us in the chat and somebody will get back to you, we have to keep going in order to get through the class.

Don't worry if you don't keep up today, you can watch the videos in your own time and catch up by next week!

Practice Piece (they were working on last week)

NOTE TO INSTRUCTOR

Keep students on MUTE
Have students follow along with the following steps
If a student "raises their virtual hand" or asks a question in the chat - let Val answer them
Advise students that videos are available for them after the class so they can catch up

THREADING THE NEEDLE REFRESHER

Measure a piece of thread

TYING A KNOT REFRESHER

If a student already knows how to tie a knot a different way they can use their own method
